The FIRST Half of the Last NIGHT

It made me really excited when I heard that this lunar eclipse could be seen from 11.55 pm – 3 am in India that too with naked eyes. I was very eager to watch it as it was the first eclipse am gonna observe since I started imagining the celestial ‘moon’ as my darling.

I entered my attendance in the Basket Ball Court near our hostel by 11.45 itself, in a curiosity to start to feel romantic… The nature first showered a pile of disappointments on me because the clouds of the night sky hid her from me. :( Till around 12.40, it made me confuse if the eclipse happens because of the earth hiding her or the clouds. :p I still wonder how I could wait patiently till that time though I was annoyed. :) I myself call this as the TRUE LOVE :) lol…
Though the importance to nature is nowadays diminishing, I’m happy that there were at least 4 – 5 of my batch mates were there to accompany me while I was sighting at her… Photographs were taken but seeing it could never counterbalance the gorgeous feel which you generate within yourself when seen in reality.
Only the regular observers would know the importance of such a charming day… Those who really die hard to see all the phases of a moon from a no moon day till a full moon day will feel easy n astonished to watch the distinguished beauty all in a same day. :) As a free offer, she shows herself in a startling color. Yup, as it’s the first time, even myself felt amazed and cherished to see the Copper Red color of her when the shadow of the earth almost fell on her as the sun’s light is obstructed by us.

After the first half of the eclipse was over, I was eagerly awaiting for the next phase., that is, the shadow of the earth to be uncovered out of the moon. But the shrewd clouds hid her again. We waited till 2.15 for her to show out her face. But she too didn’t show mercy on me. However, this is my longest spent dearly night with her. With a slight disappointment and plenty satisfaction and joy, I went to bed. The reason for disappointment was the clouds and the reason for joy was the all-in-one show of my dearest girl in my life. :)
